Day 588 – License To Kill

SO, since it’s been nearly a month since I got my name changed I am finally going to get a new license. I am getting ready to go with my girlfriend to the RMV today. I put it off so long because I kept making excuses, “My hair doesn’t look good”, “My face looks bad!”, “I have nothing to wear!”, but it is time I finally got this done.

This picture is from the student art show this month, I am really happy with the way it came out. Anyways, I need to finish getting ready. I may post a picture of my new license when I get it.

Have a good weekend!

I was surprised when I went to my local license building they actually knew what to do for name AND gender marker change. The stories I’ve heard usually they just change it and don’t know the protocols.

It went surprisingly smoothly. I had to wait an hour, but when I went up I didn’t have any problems changing everything. No questions asked.

Well mine went smoothly too but it just surprised me when they actually knew gender marker protocols, asked for doctors note. I wasn’t expecting them to know and just change it.

I see, they didn’t really have to ask me anything since I already had the gender change form from my therapist. I imagine it’s a lot more common in MA than other places.
