Day 72 – Hair and Hormones
Yesterday was a busy day, I went to see my endocrinologist to adjust my hormones and got a haircut afterwards! My endo appointment went okay and he doubled my dose up from 50mg spiro but my prolactin is high so he is making me take it easy on the estrogen so I am sad about that 😦
My haircut went fabulous though! I uploaded an entire album showcasing it and some of the new makeup I got, including some eyeshadow from a Manly 120 color pallet I just got. I got my hair trimmed with a fringe and got blonde highlights on the top and some deep red highlights on the bottom and in the back. I love how it turned out and if anyone is looking for a good salon in Boston, checkout Revive Hair Studio, they are great. I have been seeing my stylist Sara for 2 or 3 years and I love every cut. They are all very friendly and open minded, they had a car in the last Boston pride parade. Here is their website: http://www.reviveboston.com/Home.html
So far I’ve felt a fair amount of change from just over two months of hormones on a relatively low dose. I’ve seen softer skin, change in libido, decrease in sperm, breast development, softer features, fat redistribution and a slew of emotional changes. My left nipple has nearly caught up to my right and both have solid cores formed underneath that hurt. Tomorrow I am going to try and take measurements again and get a few development pictures together for my timeline.
